Preamble
Peace in our consideration , is a situation of harmoniuos relationship with self, family, community, nation,other nations and the whole world for present and future generations.
PEACE EDUCATION IS THE STUDY OF METHODS OF TEACHING AND LEARNING OF PEACE lN THE CURRICULUM.
Peace Education is essential for the maintenance of a good quality life.
Recommendations and Resolutions
- Requires all its members strive to be peace initiators, promoters, providers, advocators in intensifying Peace Education in all levels in the educational system via the following:
- Curriculum Designers, Implementors, Evaluators to update and widen their perspectives of the society’s and learners’ nature , capacities, potentials and roles in developing relevant Peace Education curriculum with emphasis on lifelong competency skills;
- Active and continuous involvement of parents as major partners with the multisectoral representatives in designing ,implementing and evaluating the inclusion of Peace Education in the Curriculum;
- Motivate WCCI members to prepare relevant instructional materials which are research-based;
- Source out of possible sponsors for local, national, regional and international fora for sharing their achievements, projects and programs;
- Prof. Dr. Shinji Ishii;
- Establish to write on-line journal of education related to Peace Education themes: human rights, health, housing,livelihood,food,education,environmental sustainability,governance,spirituality; and
- Initiate PEACE process projects, programs to be presented during the next Biennial WCCI World Conference in Education in Taiwan.
