WCCI Bahrain chapter

Preamble

The Bahrain chapter of the WCCI is a Society that is concerned about the promotion of global peace through intercultural and multicultural education and a commitment to human rights, justice and equity.

As concerned citizens of the world, we feel that it is incumbent upon us to make a difference in our societies by enhancing awareness about all issues that threaten the dignity and integrity of human beings, and particularly students, everywhere.

We believe that an effective way to improve the conditions of our societies, and of the globe, is to create awareness through connective and inclusive education. We can make a difference and are committed to transforming the consciousness of our communities through venues such as:

• Teaching & learning (schools, universities, polytechnics, community centers)
• Virtual learning environments and the world-wide web
• Conferences
• Workshops
• Youth groups
• Cultural events
• Seminars and lectures
• Art exhibits
• Supporting the work of NGOs in local communities
• Multi-literacy projects
• Philanthropy
